Reorder Ledger

Cash and reorder planning for e-commerce brands

Know whether you can afford your next inventory order.

Reorder Ledger shows Amazon and Shopify brands their cash 13 weeks ahead, so a big purchase order, a supplier deposit or an Amazon payout hold never catches them short.

Example brand, not real data
Example 13-week cash forecast Cash starts near $42,000, drops after a purchase-order deposit in week 4, falls to its lowest point of $9,600 in week 9 when the balance is due during an Amazon payout hold, then recovers to $33,000 by week 13. A safety floor is marked at $15,000. $0$10k$20k $30k$40k$50k W1W3W5W7 W9W11W13 safety floor $15k 1 2 3
  1. 1Week 4: a 30% deposit goes out on the next purchase order.
  2. 2Week 8: the balance is due before the goods ship, while Amazon holds payouts until 7 days after delivery (DD+7).
  3. 3Week 9: cash bottoms out at $9,600, below the brand's safety floor. Knowing this in week 1 leaves time to split the order, move a payment date or trim ad spend.

Right now, I'm listening

I build these plans by hand for a small number of brands, and I'm talking with owners and bookkeepers to learn how they plan reorders and cash today. If that's you, I'd love 20 minutes. No pitch, and I'll share a summary of what I learn across brands.

Brand owners

Selling roughly $300k to $5M a year on Amazon, Shopify or both, with products made ahead of time and long supplier lead times.

Bookkeepers and fractional CFOs

Keeping the books for e-commerce brands and fielding the “can we afford this order?” question from clients.

About

Hi, I'm Simon. I'm a finance and machine-learning engineer. I build models that turn messy data into decisions.

I started Reorder Ledger because inventory is where finance and forecasting meet, and it's where small brands lose the most money. Order too little and you stock out and lose your ranking. Order too much and your cash sits in a warehouse. Most tools forecast units. I want to answer the question owners actually ask: can we afford this order?

Your numbers stay private. I never share a brand's name or figures without written permission.
